Why STW?

Does your church make God ‘look’ Good

We may feel that ‘spiritual’ matters do not fall into the realm of ‘advertising’, but if we are to encourage those outside of the church to take alook at what God offers, then, whether we like it or not, we have to promote what we have.

Unfortunately the outside world has already done a lot of promotion on our behalf - and it’s not all good.  They often portray the church as some outdated, quaint but irrelevant institution that uses a religious language that no one really understands - including the regular church goers!

And, sadly, this is often backed up by the church in the way they try to connect with the public.  How many products would you buy that were promoted by the use of badly photocopied, monochrome leaflets, or by hand painted signs utilising designs that harked back to the ‘60s or earlier?

It may attract some people, but the vast majority will decide with their feet and choose to spend their time somewhere else.

Embracing Modern Design

God never intended the church to be behind the times.  His plan for His church is as a modern day, fighting force that is absolutely relevant for today’s generation.  And that means we need to use today’s modern methods and design principles to show that we are just as much part of this generation as God is.Churches that embrace modern design principles (but not the ethical and moral standards portrayed by some organisations) are fast growing because people recognise the need for God when presented in terms they understand.

It was for this reason that STW signs was set up. We are a group of Christians with experience in marketing within the commercial world, who are passionate about helping churches and other faith groups portray God and His message in a way that is vibrant, relevant and worthy of our calling.
